Snipe bid higher than needed to win?

If I snipe a bid at $65 and the highest bid so far is only $35 will ebay sumitt my bid at the next highest bid of $36 or at the snipe bid of $65. Thanks

Think of your snipe as a one time placed, at the last possible moment, proxy bid. That is what it is! AS will send it to Ebay and Ebay will use just the amount needed to win, if you placed a high enough snipe to do so.
