simultaneous bids

I lost an auction tonight-my first using sniper.In reviewing the time of the bids, they all occured at the same exact time-down to the second, but I was outbid. Any ideas on how the system works or is it as simple as it seems i.e. highest bid at the exact same moment?

The highest bid always wins. So if his bid was higher than yours he would win. Time is pretty much irrelevant, as long as they were placed before the listing ended
