Hiya Debs and Welcome
I will answer your questions....
quote:
1. How much does it cost
Your first 3 snipes are free!! After that:
Auction won that ended at $25.00 USD or less $0.25 USD
Auction won that ended between $25.01 and $499.99 USD 1% of final price
Auction won that ended at $500.00 or more $5.00

2. What happens if someone else has put a snipe on the same item for the same amount etc
Highly unlikely to happen. But if someone has a snipe of the same amount, set at the same time, the snipe that registers FIRST with ebay will win. The best thing to remember with sniping (and all bidding) is its the HIGHEST bid/snipe that wins, not the last! Also, when you enter a snipe, enter it as an odd amount (ie, $20.57 instead of $20)

3. Can you be banned from ebay for using this
Nope. Its totally *legal* by ebay standards, some buyers dont particularly like us (again, very rare), but if you go into your account details and turn off the *Instamail* Feature, no one is ever going to know you arent a manual sniper.

4. Does it work the same as proxy or does it just go in with highest bis like you would on ebay
AS (Auction Sniper) submits your bid to ebay at your lead time, then ebay treats it the same as it would a proxy. Ebay will only use the amount of your snipe it needs to keep you in front of the other bidders, if you get outbid, you get outbid. Basically, its the same as if you were sitting at your puter at the last few seconds and submitted the bid yourself. BUT!! You can be off watching TV, mowing the lawns or out partying. AS lets you have a life
My only other tip is make sure you bid the ABSOLUTE MAX you are willing to pay for the item you are sniping, you only get ONE chance.
Good Luck
