Hi, I have some snipes set up...one shows 0 bids, but in ebay it shows 1 bid. I tried deleting and placing the snipe again. But it still showed 0. Also tried the "update price", still no change.

Should I be concerned about this? I just worry that AS is not recognizing something and may not bid etc

Cheers,

Andy

Hi - had a reply from Support they say...

"Unfortunately the problem is at our end, but we are aware of it and working at it.

If you see an item in your account which does not belong to you or appears to be unfamiliar, please remove it immediately.
If you see an item that does not match the eBay description, please remove the item and then enter again."

Removing and re-entering made no difference. I didn't get the reply until after the auction had close (it was over the weekend). As it happened I won the item (x2), BUT AS didn't see the previous bid and enterd my MAX bid from the start. I won ! But I think I've ended up paying about £20 more /item. My win history for similar items today show I was wining well below my MAX bid.
The moral is - if you see this problem appear and still bid in the auction - make sure you have a MAX bid that you would be happy to pay(as you always should have!)

And their answer was....
"I checked with our engineering department and confirmed that we leave the bids field as "0" for dutch auctions because the service would require that we look into the bid history and assess how many items were bought by each bidder.

This is a feature we may add down the line but, for now, Auction Sniper will always dispay "0" in the bids field for dutch auctions."

Sounds reasonable to me.

And two free snipes for my trouble!

Regards,

Andy
