Hi,
I need advice. I NEED to win a beautiful gown for my wedding. Being that I WANT this gown and dont want to lose, should I do a bid group on it? The auction has 1 day and half left. I havent placed a bid because I want to see how high the price goes. BUT I DO WANT TO WIN. So far 12 bids and its little over $200 and still in maximum bid potential.
ANY advice on how I can better my chances of winning is apprieciated

The following is from "Auction Sniper Tips":
BID GROUPS – use them.
... Bid Groups allow you to bid on the same item from different sellers. As soon as you win one auction at the price you want, we'll automatically cancel the rest of your bids.

Since you are only interested in the one auction, bid groups won’t be of any advantage. You should place a regular snipe (one that isn’t in a bid group folder).

Hope that makes sense.

And if you've really got to win it set a snipe for 1,000,000 then you're bound to win!

Caution - could be expensive if someone else thinks along the same lines and snipes at 750,000

I saw that happen once: a 60USD Eddie Bauer jacket went for 1550USD because a bidder placed a 1500USD proxy and the snipe came in far enough above that to increase it one increment. I bet the seller almost had a heart attack over the final price.
