Shipping question

I live in Hawaii so shipping can be outrageous. I am currently in line to snipe a few items from a seller I buy from regularly. It is showing $40. shipping I will be having it shipped to my sister in NY which is approx. $9.
If I win the item through Auctionsniper have I also agreed that I will pay the listed shipping or can I still change it by changing the shipping address?

Have you been quoted $40 shipping? is that using their calculator? or does it state $40 shipping in the auction?

If its the latter, then you are agreeing to the shipping stated in the auction.

I would email the seller and just get a quote for the shipping to NY, then you have something to fall back on if you actually win the item.

icg13, why is shipping higher to Hawaii? It is no higher for me to ship from the east coast to Cal., than Ha.! Answering your question, if the shipping is per address, it should adjust itself. Just make sure the seller is willing to ship it to another address. He does not have to agree to do that!
