Seems I get this error every time I try the AS search - is this an ongoing problem or just a one-off?

All of a sudden I just received loads of emails with the results of my AS searches and the searches are working again. I guess there was a bug that has now been sorted out?!

I, for one, rely on the AS searches to look for items to snipe. If they aren't working then I'm not sniping and AS isn't earning. I guess I'm not the only one who makes use of them so why do they appear not being better maintained?

Can anyone suggest ways that the searches can be improved? I'd still like the ability to 'aim' them at my particular country rather than default to .COM

Please Sara/AS - let us know what happened and what might happen in the future...
Still the problem continues...

Search on EBAY for an item in 'Any Country' and you get items from ... any country.

Do the same search on AS and it only appears to search .COM

I have reported this a number of times. I have an outstanding support case.

Not everyone lives in .COMland, I for one live in .CO.UKland and regularly search German Ebay so, if AS wants my money for snipes, please, please could they look at this problem for me/us/everyone ???
Basrah:

I was getting the same error message you posted on 7/24. I got it for a few days in a row, though the emailed searches were coming fine. I have given up, for the most part, on asking for help from AS support since the support person blamed my environment (firewall, pop-up stopper whatever else I have loaded) for any and all issues with AS. It was something of a rant, the email I rec'd.

So, no you were not the only user who rec'd that "less than zero" message.

Searches have not been working the way they used to for a while now. It used to be that when I searched I would get all of the items for that search and the results would match the same ebay search, with the advantage of the AS search being that I could snipe straight from the search. Now the search results end at 50 items. I have ser my page to show 100 items, but always get just 50. If I change from "newly listed first" to "ending first", I get a different list of items, but still just 50. Support was able to reproduce that error and actually created a case, but that was well over a week ago and no updates have been sent to me. We're probably in denial.

I have given up on support, since as I say, the support rep blames my environment and it's NEVER AS, ya know.

It looks like we are just talking to each other on this issue. Are you and I really the only people who like to use AS for search-n-snipe, and now that it is not working the way it used to are the only 2 users who care?

No input from Sara or Steve on this search issue. I have to wonder why. Confused

I can only suppose that they are fully aware that it is an issue, but have no resolution nor any time frame for a resolution. Frown
Steve does not work for AS, so he is not in the loop for any resolution. He is just a person who gives much of his time and expertise here.

I have always used eBay to search for the items, sinmce it seems to be the best tool. When I find items I wish to snipe, then I set it up in AS. I suspect this is what most AS members do, and that few have used the "snipe it now" feature, given discussions here. Eek
There was a poll on this subject just a couple of days ago. Don't know the final results or even if it's still "live." The last I recall there were four votes: one person used the AS "Snipe It Now" and the other three hadn't used it at all. Razz

Nope, I don't work for AS. I've just been around a long, long time, thassall. Smile
