Sending a bid

Hello,
I was watching a computer on eBay and was waiting to see where the bidding was going before sniping. When I decided to snipe, I couldn’t connect to send my snipe even though we have DSL. I lost the bid. I had a 3 minute window to connect but it was no go. Any advice other than send the snipe earlier and keep on bidding for the next item? Thanks.

Are you talking about placing a manual snipe directly thru ebay or trying to set up a snipe thru AuctionSniper?

I wanted to place a bid by Auction Snipper. I had 3 minutes but I could not send my snipe to Auction Snipper. I just could not connect even though I was logged in.

Eric,

Not sure why you couldn’t connect to AS. But, even had you been able to, you would have needed at least 5 minutes before the auction ending to put a snipe into AS. From the FAQs:

Thanks very much for the info! I’m still new at this but there are more sellers adding their merchandise so any tears are premature.

Eric,

You might find this helpful:

And, you only get charged by AS for winning snipes. It doesn’t cost you anything to add a snipe, and if the auction price goes above your snipe amount, AS won’t be able to place your snipe.
