Seller's "Watching" advisement

I know that sellers receive information as to the number of persons watching a particular item. But that is a number only, not buyer IDs. If a seller has 5 watchers and I am one of them, does my auctionsniper pending bid show up as a watcher? ie. am I counted twice?

No, As does nothing until your bid is sent over to eBay in the last few moments. At that time, like a proxy bid, eBay places your bid.

Hi,
Sellers only know the number of people that have added their item to a watch list in the My Ebay area...so they wont know you are watching...in fact, ebay doesnt even know anything about your intended snipe until AS submits it.

... which is the joy of AS - you don't play your hand 'til the last few seconds.

BTW - as eBay doesn't let the seller have the IDs of the watchers it is a pretty meaningless figure anyway - I've sold items that have had lost of bids but few watchers, I've also seen items sell low with lots of watchers. To me it just cheers me up when there are a few bids but the watcher count is high!

r2, I have experienced the same thing time and time again. I think it is pretty meaningless.
