My husband bid and won an item using AS and while this item had a set shipping cost stated in the ad, which we agreed to pay, we DID NOT know this cost would include us paying for her to send us two of her SALES CATALOG for Ideal Products.

Should we just accept the shipping cost and leave No feedback, or should we mention that part of the shipping cost was for her to send us her catalog at OUR expense.

Were the catalogs a separate and distinct part of the shipping costs, or were they simply stuck in the package along with your purchase? How much were the shipping costs increased by?

If it was a set shipping cost as part of the auction terms, you have no complaint and, if everything else was fine and the shipping costs not at a level which would (but for the catalogues) say "fee avoidance, you should leave positive feedback.

In general I agree with amh. And of course if the shipping costs were a fixed, pre-announced amount you should say nothing and leave positive feedback. However, if the catalogs increased the shipping costs by a definable amount, then your feedback might depend on how large that amount was.

Like the famous poorly-packed package, one knew the shipping price before bidding. Every once in a while I see a price that is a bit high, so I decide in advance of bidding if I am willing to pay it in order to receive that item.
