If you actually won the auction then it really has nothing to do with AS if your seller does not respond. Ebay have a procedure to follow in these cases. If you have not paid for the item yet then at least you have lost nothing. Do bear in mind that any number of things could have gone wrong. The sellers system may be down, or he could even be ill etc etc. Hope this helps a little.. Best of luck..

There is a chance that the seller received an email from AS and did not like his auction being sniped. Mad
The feature that will automatically notify seller is the InstaMail feature. You can verify if it is enabled by clicking on MySnipes -> Modify account and scroll all the way down to 'InstaMail'.
With this feature turned on, Auction Sniper will instantly email the seller of any auction that you win requesting payment details. You can even customize the email that AS will send.
See if the box is checked.

Now, whether the seller likes it or not: Ebay does not consider a snipe a real problem. I have 'sniped' auctions manually before Auction Sniper was there. Ebay lists sniping in their SafeHarbour as one of the things THEY REFUSE TO INVESTIGATE. Why? Here is what ebay says:
"Sniping" is the practice of waiting until the last few minutes or seconds of an eBay auction and then placing a bid hoping to outbid the current high bidder.
We encourage all members to use the proxy bidding system that is in place to bid the absolute maximum they are willing to pay for an item right from the start and let the proxy bidding system work for them. If your proxy bid is higher than a competing bidder, you can remain the high bidder on the item. Although it may be disheartening if you are outbid, at least you won't be paying more than they were willing to with your proxy bid."

So, all rules apply to the auction, whether you sniped it or not. Check this link to find more info:

Thanks for your all the help! Can anyone answer this. I used AS on item. I was outbid --I received e-mail from someone saying they new I bid on something. Is that possible? I thought I would only be revealed if I won. How did that person know I used AS. I didn't place any bids on e-bay. PS the sellar contacted me after I went through the "complaint process" through e-bay.
The person who contacted you did not know you used AS to bid, unsuccessfully as things turned out. However, your complete bidding record for the past two months, whether or not you won the auctions you bid in, is available to anyone who has your username or e-mail address. From the eBay home page, click on "Search" 'way up at the top. You'll get another page which gives you choices of how and what to search for. Click on the "Bidder" tab, then on the resulting page put your username in the window indicated and be sure to click the little circle that says "Whether or not high bidder". Then click on the "Search" to the right of your username and you'll see your whole bidding history flash before your eyes. And anyone can do that, not just you.

And that's how he knew you had bid. Smile

If you would provide an item number it would be easier, but this scenario might help:

Let's say you want to snipe a Hyper-Space-Absorber, and ebay shows a high bid of 10.- US$. That does not mean that highest bid in fact is 10.- US$. It just means that 10.- US$ was enough to outbid the 2nd highest bid. In fact, the highest bid of the bidder might be 20.- US$, the so called Proxy-Bid.

If you set up AS to snipe it at 15.- US$, you will be outbid, or better Proxy-Outbid. The price will probably be 15.50 US$ now. Still, your bid will be placed and be visible on ebay, although you did not win. The easiest way to see a particular bid is to go back to the particular item on ebay and click on 'bid history' right next to the '# of bids'.

Hope it makes sense.
