If I am watching ebay and it seems the price is going higher than my snipe from AS in the last half minute - can I put in my own bid through ebay at a higher price than my AS snipe as a backup to my snipe bid?

Will ebay recognize that both bids are from the same user and not bid "me against me", or if my AS snipe is 121, other bidders go up only to 115, and I added a bid at 131 (same user id as the 121 bid), will the auction close at 115 plus the next increment, or 121 plus the next increment??
Thanks!

You can still place a manual bid, but if it’s higher than your snipe and before the snipe is placed, ebay won’t allow the snipe to be entered. Why not just increase/update your snipe amount? No one will hold it against you.

The bid-against-yourself question is in the FAQs (Top 10 Questions).
AS bids as if you are bidding so higher bids are not a problem...

Be aware that, if you bid manually above the AS snipe amount then you'll probably get charged by AS even if the AS snipe wasn't enough to win.

AS Rick says, bid your max and leave it be. If you must up the snipe then do it before the three minute deadline and remember, if it is on ebay today then it'll probably be on eBay again tomorrow...
