Secure sign-in

I have been told that its important to use https and to make sure the padlock is shown on my browser to be safe. However, when I use your 'secure sign-in' accessed from the link https://www.auctionsniper.com/securelogin.aspx on the normal sign in page I finish up being signed in to this page http://www.auctionsniper.com/MySnipes.aspx (with plain http) and NO PADLOCK showing in browser status (Firefox 4.0.1)

Can you please advise (a) is this link secure or not?, and (b) How can I tell by looking at my browser if I have reached the secure server?
