OK, so my second snipe attempt was actually successful. However, I do have a few more questions.

This was a dutch auction and my bid of 129.69 was the highest bid of all. The next highest (placed a while back) was 125. I am not sure why the full amount of my bid was used. Shouldn't I be the highest bidder with a bid of 126 (next highest plus minimum bid increment)? It's no big deal, I am just trying to understand how this works.

The bid was again placed way earlier than the 4 sec lead time I had chosen but I realize this has been discussed in the firums before, I just haven't had the time to look it up yet.

I did receive an ebay bid confirmation and end of aution email this time (as opposed to my failed snipe attempt yesterday) and another AS message, this time with the wrong amount... It says that I won this auction for 122.45, while in fact I have won it for 129.69. This was a free snipe, but if I were to pay AS 1% for my successful snipe, they just robbed themselves of a few pennies for no reason. Is this email service completely unreliable then? btw, 122.45 is the lowext successful bid on the auction, i.e. the 4th guy to get the item (the last one) will indeed pay 122.45. My bid had nothing to do with this amount.

It seems to me that this while thing needs to be ironed out a bit more, it's like it is in beta territory still. Or maybe I don't get it quite right... Any ideas please?

Venceremos!
