From that information I infer that AS technical staff are indeed working on bringing the AS search function back. I wouldn't worry if I were you -- they'll get it all patched up before long. At least you're getting results, albeit in one ungodly lump.

Still drowning? Cancel your AS searches and use eBay's search function for a while.

i turned off all searches today, and i won't use AS until that bug is fixed.

Isn't that an example of cutting off your nose to spite your face, question mark? Or are you just saying you won't use AS to search for items until the bug is fixed (it's not a bug, it's an overhaul) but you'll continue to use AS for sniping?

The above is your 10th post. Seven of them have been on this same topic, beginning back on July 9. Everybody, including AS tech support, knows how unhappy you are about the AS search function. You're not winning any friends or influencing any people by continuing to harp on the topic, using angry icons and threatening to "hold your breath," figuratively speaking. Just use eBay's search function like everyone else does.

Sreve, please explain to me, what is the big deal? If the person can search through ebay..and that is a really good search.. if this one at AS is not perfected yet, so use Ebay. Afterall, the main purpose of AS is to snip!

I had a sneaking suspicion that you were addressing moi. I guess it's the convenience of having a built-in search mechanism as part and parcel of your sniping capability. You can search for it, import it, and snipe it all in one "swell foop," as my father would have said. You don't have to shuttle back and forth between AS and eBay. I think that's what is in the back of question mark's mind, and I don't blame him for appreciating the convenience.

I wasn't aware that AS were overhauling the Search facility - you'd think they'd have let me know directly seeing as I have an open Support case with them.

For my sins I was educated by the English Public School system ('explains a lot' I hear you say...).

In the 70s, a chap who was a bit of a smoothy with the girls was called a 'Steve' as in - "Watch out for Rupert, he's a bit of a Steve".

This post is not relevant to anything but it does have the word 'Steve' in it. And 'Auction'...

Hey, Big Steve, there are really only two of us, with a third possibly lurking out there somewhere. I've been around for a long time, and for a while we had "the other Steve," but he hasn't been heard from since I don't know when and we don't know if he's still looking in on this Forum. So it's not quite as confusing as we may have portrayed it.
