Same item sniped and won twice. Why?

Can't happen. A snipe is placed right before the end of the auction. The auction ends, then no more bids are allowed. Perhaps you can supply the auction # or bid history?

Well it just did happen. I am not new to snipeing just new to this service. The first auction was sniped and won on 05/01/05. Auction #6957695072, LOUIS VUITTON SUPER BIBLE 2005. The second auction was just sniped and won today 05/08/05. Auction #6958677983 LOUIS VUITTON SUPER BIBLE 2005. This is the same item from the same seller with different auction #'s. I did have several of this item in a bid group but it is my understanding that once an item is won the rest of the bids are canceled. Correct? I am not upset that I won the second item because I actually wanted more than one. My concern is that this is going to happen with other items that I only want one of. Why is the second item not showing up in My Snipes that I won?

Did you happen to specify that you wanted to win more than one auction in your bid group? Or, perhaps one of the auctions wasn't in the bid group, or not the same bid group?

No, at the time I sniped the first auction I put several in a bid group so I could see how this system worked. Once the auction was won the rest in the bid group did say canceled so I deleted all of them. I decided after this that I wanted to snipe another one. When I tried to add the snipe I received a error message telling me that I was already snipeing this item. However there was nothing in MY Snipes even after refreshing. Since there was nothing in My Snipes I assumed that nothing was going to be sniped. Prior to this I had deleted all of the canceled snipes. Shouldn't this system reconize that prior snipes were canceled? Why did I receive the error message telling me I was already snipeing this item when the auction #'s were different? If I truely was already snipeing this item (guess I was) than why was it not showing in My Snipes?

I have a similar problem where I canceled a second snipe 1 hour before auction end and AS said it was canceled. It was for an identical item that I had sniped and won 2 days before, and I did NOT use any bid groups whatsoever. AS sniped anyways and I won the item.

I filed a support case and AS still hasn't determined if it is their problem or not. They suggested I contact the seller and explain. I declined, since my feedback is too important to me. I have posted another topic about AS keeping a log of canceled snipes.
