Hi all

Just placed my first snipe and followed the instructions in the AS tutorial:

http://www.auctionsniper.com/tutorial.aspx

The auction I'm bidding on has, to date, only one bid of £35. I have ASed a maximum bid of £51.33 with a 3 second lead time.

When I open "My Snipes" the status shows "ready" but the max bid column shows £36. Is this actually my bid of £36 being my AS/ebay proxy bid as the bidding stands now?

How do I review this snipe to see what my maximum bid is and the lead time I have chosen? I can't seem to find a simple link in "My Snipes" or any readily displayed info for this.

Any help would much appreciated Smile

Thanks for your help region2.

Re the 3 seconds I'm in the UK and the auction finishes at 5.38 pm Friday afternoon. Do you still think 3 seconds is a risk or should I up the lead time?

I knew I was missing something - staring at the pc at 2 am doesn't help Smile. Ok so no problems with the lead time it's right there. But what about my max bid of £51.33. Where can I review this?

Thanks again Smile
3 secs, 5 secs, 8 secs - it doesn't really matter as it's the highest bid that wins, not the last bid. AS just prevents bidding wars... You'll probably be OK at 3 secs but I'd switch to 8 to be safe...

The figure against max is your snipe - if that doesn't say GBP 51.33 then something has gone wrong - click on modify and see if you can change it...

Thanks region2. I'll take your advice and up the lead time to be safe.

I've now been able to fix my problem of my £51.33 max bid not appearing in my snipes by editing the snipe. I just hope it was a user error on my part when entering my max bid and not a system error although I am surprised that I would enter a bid £1 higher than the current bid as my highest bid. Then again I did miss the lead time Red Face
