I am having repeated problems with no bid being placed at all in early morning auctions. I even made one with a 45 second lead time and no bid was placed. The report just says "DID NOT WIN". This vendor always puts auctions up at 1:45AM,2:00AM,3:00AM etc. so I wanted to use auction sniper. People won with really low bids.

Is auction sniper not reliable at those hours?

When it happened on January 7 I opened a support call and was referred to ebays status page which showed some things that really didn't explain what happened. I was also told that sometimes on the hour ebays servers slow down. At 2AM? I wasn't offered any suggestions on what to do.

Then it happened on January 9th and then on January 10th. 4 auctions with no bid even attempted. It can't just be lag with a 45 second lead time bid not even submitted. If it takes more time than that then something is just plain malfunctioning.
Auctionsniper support says it looks like my bid group was cancelling the rest of the bids like I had already had the total number of wins specified even though I haven't. I kept adding auctions to the bid group since I hadn't won what I wanted yet.

Perhaps the original "DID NOT WIN" auction screwed up the bid group.

I'll delete the group and try again tonight.
The problem seems to have been due to using a bid-group and having a bid placed when the database was unavailable due to maintenance; the "DID NOT WIN" result. This combined with the fact that I had a bid group buy quantity > 1 and had one win already made for a situation where I could add auctions but the system wouldn't ever enter a bid on them.

Apparently if I bid to low I'd still get THAT status shown otherwise it wouldn't bid.

So... In the future I'll scrap a bid group if I get a do not win just to be safe.
