Referral from my friend...

A friend referred me to this service. I want to bid on something and won't be around at the end, so I've signed up. She thought she should get a free snipe as a result of this referral. But there have been no requests for her email address on anything as I've signed up... Anyone know how I make sure she gets her free referral?? I did follow the link in her email. Maybe it happens automatically?
