Really a blue newbie | Auction Sniper

I lost in my first 3 snipes, all outbid by 1 increment. My last snipe was funny. The currnet bid showed $55.27 and I put my max bid as $57.30 with a lead time of 7 sec. It ended up someone outbid me with $58.30 in the last 7 sec. Is it just a coincident or someone can really outbid me by one increment of whatever max bid I put within 7 sec? Thanks

Check the bid times. I suspect the winning bids were place BEFORE your snipe bids, which indicates they were proxy bids. Go to ebay help and do a search on proxy bids to learn more about them.

How would you know how much the winning bid was for? They obviously bid higher than you did and therefore won by one increment each time, but how would anyone know how much the winning bid amounts actually were?
