Hi all,

OK - I'm a sniping virgin.

I've set up my first snipes, and the status is listed as "ready" in a lurvely green font.
I assume it's all ready to go.

I have had a niggling query however regarding the check boxes on each item - these don't have to be ticked for the snipe to go ahead do they? I'm assuming this is just to move to folders etc, but I don't want to mess this up!

You're only a virgin once, you know, and the first time should be as successful as possible!

Cheers,

M.

Good morning Mrs. M and I guess good evening Mike.

Mike,

If you haven't already, take a look at your "InstaMail" setting. Bring up "My Snipes" tab, click on "Modify Account", and roll down to the "InstaMail" setting.

After you use your free snipes, I would recommend giving AS your credit card info instead of using Paypal.

If you want to cancel a snipe, you must do it 2 minutes before the auction ends.

You're right about the "check box".

To make sure you see the current price on "My Snipes" page, you need to click on "Update items info".

GOOD HUNTING! Wink

Those check boxes are for cancelling your snipes, or moving them into another folder (in case you want to seperate your different snipes, like seperating items buying for resale, and items for personal use)

Check the box on the snipe you want to cancel or move, then click on cancel in the button in the grey box to cancel an auction. Check the box on the snipe you want to move, then select the folder to move to, then click move in the grey box to move a snipe.

Rick, why do you recommend this?

1) You never have to worry about not having a balance (peace of mind).
2) It requires extra work for AS to make it happen (manual process for them) and can take awhile (might miss an auction).
3) If you should ever stop sniping you won't have to try to get a refund.
4) Based on AS' min charges, you may have extra time before you are charged.
