Hey was recommended by you from someone that uses ebay quite abit I was outbid in about 5 seconds before the auction ended.

However I have a few questions before I join AS:

1. Proabaly asked hundreds of times but still id still like to ask , is ebay perfectly happy by using AS in the UK, can I get my ebay account terminated / suspended for using this kind of service?

2. Im currently bidding on an item on ebay, my current bid is $2.25 and max bid is $5.00, can I use AS to automatically place a bid or check that I am winning bidder and bid up to $25.00 if its required?

I have already read the FAQ but I still wasnt quite clear about it.

Thanks in advance Smile

#1) From ebay UK’s help:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tp/programs-investigations.html

What eBay does not investigate

Bid Sniping (last minute bidding)

We always recommend bidding the absolute maximum you are willing to pay for an item. eBay uses a proxy bidding system, so you may bid as high as you wish, but the current bid that is registered will only be a small increment above the next lowest bid. The remainder of your Maximum Bid is held, by the system, to be used in the event someone bids against you.

So snipe away on ebay U.K.

#2) AS will only place one bid. If you tell AS to place a $25 snipe, then that’s what it will place. Ebay’s bidding system will determine the winner. AS will not check to see if you are the winning bidder, and it will not placed multiple incremental bids.

Happy sniping.

Just to clarify...eBay will use only the portion of the $25.00 that is needed to win the auction...if the other bid is not too high. Your snipe is actually a one time, placed at the last possibly moment, proxy bid.

“City”, “State/Province”, “Zip Code” and “Country” are all in boxes for me, AND they are below "Address 2" on my page.

DUCKY? The box is in your court.
Your blank box looks like it wants a city. Try putting your city in, and keep filing in the other boxes that need a mandatory entry until AS is happy. Take it one box at a time. I doubt AS has access to an atlas. In “State/Province” box, put in “Britain” or “Wales”, or “Lord Nelson” – experiment.

P.S. Have fun.
I'm in the UK and AS works fine for me - obviously the Yank programmers have no concept of non-USA countries so we have to guess that Zip code equates to Post Code and State is where you enter the County!

Take a look at proxy bidding to see how eBay handles your snipe and do follow the advice to turn off InstaMail under Modify Account so that sellers aren't told that you've just sniped their item! You might want to set the lead time to 8 seconds whilst you're there...

ps. oh, and be aware that Rick is completely barking! Wink
