question about end-of-auction-timer...

I have noticed that, when watching the countdown to the end of an auction, the timer seems to get to around 7 seconds and then says "auction has ended". My concern is: if I place a snipe set at 5 seconds, will it still go through? Thanks

***Also, I just read about AS "snipe it now" button...how do I place it on my tool bar? Sorry if I sound stupid...this digital world is passing me by!

Read the FAQs for the Snipe It Now button

The timer countdown is of no consequence - one of the AS programmers was bored one day and stuck it on the My Snipes page. It's running on YOUR PC so has nothing to do with when AS's server places the snipe for you.
