Pre-1950 family photos, old letters, diaries, etc.

I'm looking for old family items: pre-1950 photographs as far back as you have them, hoardes of old letters, diaries, etc. I've always been fascinated with things that give personal almost first-hand glimpses into the lives of others...

I realize that no one wants to sell their family history, but also know that sometimes we end up with unidentifiable items, or end up with collections of personal items of others', or even find forgotten boxes-full in old homes...that's the kind of thing I'm trying to find.
