If your take a look at the HELP pages you'll see that AS adjusts the lead time at busy times to ensure the snipe is placed.

Chances are that you were out-sniped by another sniper - it's consider almost impossible to place a retaliatory bid in the last 30 seconds so this probably would have happened anyway.

Remember, it's the highest not the last bid that wins!

What are you talking about... You can place a bid with 30 seconds left with out using a sniper. I been doing it for years, but sometimes you computer freezes and you mess up like 10% of the time.

Also if you bid and keep refreshing the screen it will say you been outbidded and just lets you put in a dollar amount you want bid quickly. Ebay isnt dumb they know the more you bid the higher the fees they get.

I think ebay been slowing the times, because auctionsniper was off by 20+ seconds today. and costed me $20 to win the auction.
Not 100% sure what all that was about - perhaps being English the missing apostrophes, extra 'likes' and strange abbreviations make me lose the meaning!

"I['ve] been doing it for years" - why? AS does it for you!

If you're saying that you can set up a bid and then press the final confirm button at the last second then I agree. What I don't agree with is that you can retaliate to a bid that arrives 30 seconds from the end. Seems a lot of effort when AS will do it for 25cents!
