PITA | Auction Sniper

Hi all, could someone here please enlighten me on what a PITA is? I posted on an eBay Discussion Board and one person told me not to make up reasons to be a PITA. (Everyone else was very nice.) I know this term isn't good, but if someone is accusing me of being one I'd like to know what it is lol. Thanks!
