Gosh, that's a rush.

Can't say I blame you. It is even confusing to most of the locals. If we all used UTC (the old time Zulu) based on your time zone, it sure would make things easier. Why we even insist on changing from Standard time to Daylight time (most states do but not all). All you need to do, in the summer, is to subtract 7 hours. In the winter, you subtract 8 hours from your time.
The use of UTC (or the old Zulu) makes things so much easier to figure time around the world.

You should proably clarify that you mean to change the time DISPLAY and not the actual time of the promotion. Looking at his post I think Bill might have thought you wanted the Developers to change it so that the promotion ran friday 12:00AM-12:00pm for your timezone.

That would be nearly impossible. However change of display for your timezone would take about 20 minutes of programming time and would probably be very helpfull for everybody as even the US has multiple timezones.

A countdown time would negate needing to fuss with actual times and time zones. What if, when you sign on to AS, regardless of WHAT time it is where you are, a box would appear and say, "14 hours, 29 minutes, 05 seconds (or whatever time) left in FREE SNIPE promotion! Any snipes scheduled during this time will be FREE!!" One would think the programing involved in this solution may be the easiest.
