Hello Everyone,

I recently won an auction, and I paid right afterward using Pay Pal, now it has been five days, and I have had zero contact from the seller. The status on my PayPal account shows the seller has unclaimed the money, and it is still pending. I tried to e-mail the seller, and his e-mail address is longer working. However, they have excellent feedback. What should I do?

Thank you,

Have they sent you an invoice? If so, make sure they didn't include instructions to send to a different email address. By email not working, do you mean mail was returned as undeliverable, or they just didn't answer?

If it were me, I would cancel payment. (I think you have a max of 30 days to do that with PayPal) Use 'ask seller a question' stating you did so, because you were unable to make contact. If they ever get back in touch with you, you can easily make payment again. Others will probably advise you to give it a bit more time.

You may find there was some sort of family emergency, computer disaster, accident, ect...

Good Luck... and to the forum.
Yes. Seller said the account was verified and should work. He was quite insistant. Paypal said the email address was not valid but said he had another account that would work. PayPal refused to give me the verified account information but the seller finally responded after many emails giving me two different email addresses I could try. The second one worked.
Shipping refund? You mean people actually do that. I need to buy from you, sounds like you ae really fair. I bought a book for $4.00. It cost 1.92 to mail. Seller charged 8.50. I did email re shipping cost but he would not budge. I wanted the book so I paid. Now I would wait until another came along, which it did at half the price. Patience is not my best virtue.
Hello Again,

Just wanted to THANK EVERYONE for being so kind throughout this issue! I will without a doubt take all of your advice! I am sure in the end, that all of this will work out! The seller's e-mail address was returned. I am just going to wait, for awhile and see what happens. Hopefully everything is ok, I never thought about a family emergency, you never know.

Truly Thanks Again, Smile
