I was wondering how AS would have coped with this situation. I was (am) sniping an item that says (PayPal account required) under the Place bid button. Having ignored it for 4 days (after all I have a PayPal Account), I decided to click on it with two hours to go.
Good job I did - it takes you to a PayPal screen where you link your PayPal account with your eBay account. Brilliant but I guess my snipe would have come unstuck if I hadn't linked it. Is this a new thing or is it old news?

R2,I am not clear about what you are saying! Do you mean it opened up your paypal? I don't understand the purpose behind this.

yep - it seems that you can now specify that people must have a PayPal account B4 bidding. Good idea - it gives the seller a bit more security as PayPal has verified that they exist (or at least have a credit card!). Will have to investigate further next time I'm selling!
