It takes a lot more then that to offend me - A LOT. Just a good, and funny, lesson on how something that seems obvious to one person, can easily be interpreted as something else by another.

So - there's "scam", "spam" and now "spoof". What's next? Those words are a lot more polite then what I call them, but I won't go into details. I think "politics" is derived from "polite". Someone(s) must have been given the assignment to come up with the phrase "spoof emails".

P.S. Mornings are getting pretty lively on this forum.

I resurrected this thread because I received a different type of fraudulent e-mail today. This one gave the usual "We believe someone may have tried to use your account" BS, but instead of asking the recipient to click on a link or type in an eBay password, this one asks him to send the same info via fax to a San Jose, CA number! Eek
