I thought I might be missing some "clue" and that is why I lost. I'm glad I didn't pay too much. Each time I lose an auction like that, I have to think, Man, that guy wanted it much more than I did!
Yes, but there is no "outsniped" message from AS or eBay. It is a term used by snipers to describe what happened. AS simply tells you that your bid was too low.
AS does not that your were outsniped if you look at your sniping history.
Bid Too Low is another response in your history that indicates the amount of your snipe was lower than the lowest bid increment allowed by eBay at the time they tried to send it. (ie: They tried to place your $5.01 snipe, but the current bid was $5.00. The lowest bid eBay would accept would be $5.25)
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
