I got my first "Out Sniped" in my sniper conformation, where it usually says "Proxy out bid" or "Bid to low" or "You Won" (I like that one the best).
I guess that "you've been sniped" is letting me know I was out bid by another sniper.
Sure looks like it, cause when I checked their bid, sure enough it was seconds before auctions end.
This was for something that I collect and so do they. I'm glad I only use AS now to bid, so at least they can't watch what I'm up to and snipe me as a habit.
Auction Sniper Rules! I love you guys! Eek Eek Eek Big Grin

Hey, robert, that's too bad! It's bound to happen sometime, though. Assuming that you gave it your best shot with a maximum bid, you have the comfort of knowing that it cost the other guy more than you were willing to pay for it. Smile

I've been outsniped before but I've never seen a notice that said "You've been out-sniped" or something like that. Maybe it's something new by eBay?
... it's the thrill of the hunt and especially knowing that someone else had to pay more than they were probably expecting to, proxy bid expectation aside. I've outsniped a few others in the same way, they probably thought the same thing of me. We all have our cash tolerance threshold, grin.
