chatter, why did you think i would write '' ... even if ALL is selected ... '' ?

and yes, it was showing all (!) for the past years, but now it only shows WON auctions. the other ones vanished.

but i am repeating myself, sorry. it's only been two years and 200 +/- snipes, but i thought i know what i was doing, and what i was looking for.

it is even getting better today: yesterday at least when i checked LOST (yes, the LOST button), the old lost ones were there.

today, i got a couple of times a server error ( ... PLEASE CHECK LATER ... ), and just now, a totally empty LOST list. i should have some 100 lost bids over the past years, they seem all gone.

rick, hotlines and helpdesks seem to be totally overworked, have a look at this: told all above as you suggested to support. partially the same wording as above, incl samples. he then asked for the link to the forum here, so he could read up on this in more detail.

i provided the link, he read all above (not really that long), and then came back with the answer ...

'' ... elaborate your question ... are you trying to delete your old snipes ? ... ''

now what am i to say? or do? cry?

How about responding to AS support with this: "No, I'm just trying to find them (old lost snipes)."

Gosh, this isn't all that difficult to understand. Your topic text says it all.

If that doesn't work, tell them I'm going to give you Bill's email address (4 or 5 months ago I was told the CEO's name, but that's really extreme).

i am somehow trying to visualize this, and still keep my humor: this little junior is now desperately running around the building trying to find the one and only senior that possibly could have as much as a comment for my issue.

and that for two days now ... yes, it has been that long.

well, rick, the word 'vanished' might soon have a totally new meaning for AUCTIONSNIPER, as i see more and more people looking somewhere else. including me, which is sad after some 200 snipes. and very often missing support is mentioned as a reason.

it cannot be that initially support was not even able to find this complete topic in the (their own) forum, and then, when given the entire link, cannot find the time to look at it and actually read it, too.

and here in the forum, it seems very much as if the two of us are a fairly lonely crowd, anyhow.

rick, me again. its now been 8 days that junior went off to search for senior. would you agree that this is far too long for a system to (a) screw up a paying customers records, and (b) does not fix this, and (c) does not even have the courtesy to follow up a support request?

could it be they are working out a way how to tell me that i did erase those records myself?

how does one get a hold of that famous bill of yours?

Hi Heinz,

I would try reposting to the current support case, or open up another one (you might get a different person – a senior). There’s a chance that your previous request fell between the cracks. I’d think 2 to 3 business days should be sufficient time to get a response from AS.

As far as getting a hold of Bill – I’d rather not post his email address on the forum, nor even give it out to anyone. Best for you to work with the sources available thru AS’ traditional, and public, support - it should work. I just brought up my support cases. There have been 9, and they were all handled in a timely and professional fashion. Most were responded to on the same day. Of course, I’m such a nice, funny, pleasant, witty, intelligent and handsome person (well, 1 out of 6 isn’t bad); no one can resist my charms.

OK this is what I see so far:
Our support tech did not file it correctly so I am just now aware of it. For this I apologize on behald of our support staff.

Anyways. I checked out your account and to be honest.. I do not see any problems (I see a bunch of old snipes won/lost/all). So it either has been fixed OR I am not 100% clear as to your issue.

If it is not 'fixed' do me a favor. File a new support case, mention my name and ask it to be forwarded to me.

I will make sure you are satisfied.

fair enough, bill. i am sure you did not see ghosts there. but then pls tell me, what is wrong with me? my mind? my browsers? tried three, OPERA, IE, FIREFOX, all very latest versions, and just now, three minutes ago, at 04:05am: being in MY SNIPES and clicking on ALL, i see only 73 WON auctions, clicking on WON i get an empty listing saying "There are no snipes for this selection", clicking on LOST i get the same screen saying again "There are no snipes for this selection".

you (anybody out there) do not really think i am making this up? may i (can i) post a screen shot here?

i have been thru all these clicks a hundred times the past years, they always worked untill about two weeks ago.

would this help, as it is also strange? when using the My Snipes - Simple Version (non java), i get again an empty screen: "There are no snipes". none at all. this too used to work fine. i usually used it when i was on somebody elses computer, or on slow dialups, as it builts the screen faster. not anymore. it builts nothing.

so, do you really consider this a CLOSED support case?

but this one? when i refer him/her to the forum, giving the heading of the post, and it being the same very day, he/she cannot find it. then giving the link, he/she cannot read it (... elaborate your question ... are you trying to delete your old snipes ? ...)

during a support case, were you ever asked for you user ID and your email addrs in the course of the conversation? before opening a support case you are specifically asked for your email addrs, and at least to me that shows on the screen with all my mssgs. my ID/user name should (?) then be there too, if not, their database would link email to user, if not, it was certainly at the heading of my forum posts.

then why does support ask me first " ... I am not being able to find your Email address in our records ... " strange question? if he had those records in front of him (with the email missing, though it shows on the support screen), then why the next question " ... Could you please forward me your username ... ".

you tell me i might have fallen into a crack: well, lets consider it more a canyon. one opens a support case, they cannot read a fresh forum entry, they do not see your user ID, and they cannot find your email.

who needed support here? me or them?

PS: HOLD IT, HOLD IT, just thought of something. the name itself is not indicative, so if the (junior) support was a young girl, by any chance, i'll take everything back. i like girls asking for my details, specially now at my age. i can be at least as sweet and gentle as rick.

and then we will pass all the rest straight to bill ...

so, lets consider THIS part of the case CLOSED. i was just letting off steam anyhow ...

A couple of issues:

1. The e-mail you used when filing the support case is not the email we have on file for you. We are not psychic, so we have to ask for your username.

2. In terms of the delay, it was filed incorrectly (and for that I apologized).

3. Our support does not rely on this forum, in fact I do not encourage them to reply to posts here. This 'public' forum is for our users and occasionaly mangers from Auction Sniper who come on here to be a part of the community and to help. This is a public forum. Personal information related to your account and your support case should only be discussed in the support cases. I don't need to explain why.

4. We both see 73 old snipes in your account. You say you are missing more than that, and I believe you that may be a bug. I will have our engineers take a look at it and get back to you.

yes bill, there are 73 older WON auctions, but they only show when the ALL button is clicked.

- they should also show when the WON button is clicked, right? they do not. none.

- not a single one of the older LOST auctions do show, neither under ALL, neither under LOST. also empty there, totally. and there were plenty.

- see my remark for the My Snipes - Simple Version: might this not be an indication of what is wrong? and for sure, that something is wrong?

Hello heinz-

You have 78 old snipes in our database. 73 can be viewed via the "ALL" filter. 5 can be viewed in the "deleted" area. The "won" and "lost" filter only show snipes for the last 30 days. You do not have any snipes that were won or lost in the last 30 days, hence none show up with this filter. This is normal.

As for your 100+ other snipes, we did a mass delete about one year ago on all snipes that were old. Your got deleted at the time. They are gone forever. Now, we do not delete snipes. You can delete them yourself, but they will remain in the deleted area ('deleted' link on bottom left of my snipes page).
