Ok -- I'm confused (newbie)

Hi,

I'm brand spanking new to A.Sniper. I've got two items on Ebay that I am *currently* the "high-bidder" for... and they end today. I'm afraid of someone right at the last minute bidding higher to get them. SO... I sign up for A.Sniper, and read the FAQs and such... and now I'm confused.

If I am currently the high-bidder, and *no one else* bids at the last second like I fear, will A.Sniper STILL put in my "auction snipe" price??? Or will it not do anything?

The thing is, if I can get what I want for the price it is now, then I do NOT want it to get sniped at the last 5 seconds for $10 more!!!!

Please advise. I found the FAQs very confusing.

Welcome to AS, Becca! I'll try to un-confuse you.

First off, AS will place the snipe even if you are currently listed as the high bidder on eBay.

Placing a bid with AS is just the same as if you place the bid yourself on eBay. If you're the high bidder on an auction and you place another higher bid on eBay, and *no one else* bids, you will not raise your own bid. eBay doesn't make you bid against yourself. So, if you set a snipe with AS, and *no one else* bids, the snipe placed by AS for you will NOT increase your bid.
