I had some noob use Buy-It-Now on one of my widgets. I filed a payment reminder/dispute and here is his response:
"i just wanted to check the item out like see if it was used or not and some of the features sry i
dont want it really"
Does Buy-It-Now really not make sense to people? He never emailed me or anything, so he did nothing to "check the item out" any more than just reading the auction description would have done.
Here is my dispute response:
"You can email questions before you purchase. Most of your questions were in the auction description. It is unused but the packaging is opened or damaged. When you used the buy-it-now feature, you have made a leagally binding agreement to purchase it. If you didn't want it, you needed to respond to my emails so that I can relist it and you don't waste my time. I paid for the listing fees and more fees because you bought it. You not only wasted my time but cost me money! You are getting a neg!"
Maybe I was a little harsh since he is a newbie, but this isn't his first time bidding since he has other "mutally withdrawn feedback."
I'm thinking of a good, concise way to word the neg in case he decides to put up retalitory FB (he has nothing to lose).
