NOT IN TIME with 8 second lead

Hi,

Sure enough I checked the confirmation link and the bid was received by eBay late. This is pretty unusual for an 8 second snipe.

eBays traffic was about 15-20% lower than usual yesterday as well. Perhaps beacause of the superbowl.

If I had to guess the only thing I can think of is there was a spike in eBay or internet slowness that caused the miss. I was doing some online games yesterday and they usually work great. But there were a few times they got slowed down by probably 15-20 seconds. I'm thinking maybe that worm is still unoccasionaly rising up and spiking out a little traffic once in while. It's last gasps before all the computer operators out there get their systems patched so it wont happen again.

Sorry about that. Perhaps temporarily increase things to 10 seconds. I really believe that in nearly all cases 5 seconds is enough but with that worm perhaps a few extra for the next week or so would make sniping a tad safer. In general we did notice a about a little higher % of misses yesterday as compared to a normal sunday, but not much. Maybe 20% increase in misses.
