NOT IN TIME?!

The status of a snipe that I placed came up as "Not In Time" even though I placed the snipe more than a half hour before the auction's end. Why?

It means that your snipe did not have enough lead time to be placed. What was the lead time and please give us the auction #. Thanks.

From HELP:

Not in Time Your snipe was not placed in time. This may occur if you set your snipe to be placed during the absolute last second of an auction, or abundant internet traffic has prevented your bid from going through in time. We do all that we can to prevent this from happening.
