Hi all and Happy Halloween a little late. Smile

I just found the oddest (Well from what I've seen so far - I'm sure there are some more doozies!) requirement by a seller. They require bidders to have at least 30 positive feedbacks. They automatically relist the item if the winning bidder has less than that. (And from their description it appears they've relisted this many times!) I'm all for sellers having certain requirements but to me this is just ridiculous. You not only discourage many buyers, but you lose out on money as well, depending on how much those people would bid. (And then there's the listing price...) I guess I could kind of understand if the item was very expensive but this was a small, vinyl dollhouse. It started at $1 and isn't likely to go over $50, if that even. The winning bidder (so far) has a rating of 21 so they'll probably be relisting again lol. Roll Eyes

Take care,
~Shannon :-)~

Hi Shannon,
I agree with you that this seller's being ridiculous. If that's the way they choose to live their life, well, that's their decision, but personally I'd rather not deal with them. Big Grin Have you seen the listings where you have to e-mail the sellers to get permission to bid on their auctions? Roll Eyes
It would be interesting to see how many times this seller relists the dollhouse before selling it. Cool
That really is silly...I can understand a buyer saying "I don't want to sell to 0 feedback bidders" or "I won't sell this item to bidders with a majority of negative feedback"...but having at least 30 positives? That seems very random to me. Makes me wonder why the seller chose such a policy. I really don't think there IS a substantial reason. If a bidder has 30 feedback ratings...and they are ALL positive...why wouldn't you sell to that person? Of course this is just an example I am using...as a rating of 30 might also include some negs, depending on the person. But still, it seems very ridiculous and only makes me question this seller. Best not to deal with such people, I'm sure the item can be found elsewhere. Smile

That is really silly!!

I dont even go along with the *dont bid if you have 0 feedback*

I find *0* feedback buyers bid more and pay super fast as they really want to get good feedback!

My personal experience is the higher feedback buyers drag the chain paying or dont pay at all.

A couple of negatives isnt going to hurt their rating.

Sorry Chatter - I would do that because I have a nasty vindictive streak and that would ease my pain a little. The other reason is that their requests are unreasonable - now I am sure you will pipe back with some other terms that may seem unreasonable but are actually all good.

I just think this seller is a bit of a wanka (Rick please dont translate that Confused ) and if they got negs they would deserve them.

Well depends which way you look at it I spose....they dont really *deserve* the neg as it is in their auction terms, but they do deserve a neg for being a bad sport
