Recently I had a snipe set up, was watching the item, and the price went over my snipe. I tried to go ahead and increase my snipe so as to still have a whack at the item. AS would not let me edit my price, (I was in the last 5 minutes) I went in and manually bid the item so as to win it. (old timer's snipe?) anyway, AS showed it as a successful snipe, although the snipe price was about 10% below the price at which I won the item. not really critical since I won the item, but is there a cut-off time for AS prior to auction close?
BTW, AS is OUTSTANDING!

You can not modify or cancel a snipe within the last 2 to 3 minutes of auction end.

I believe AS will send your bid to eBay even if it is to low. (there is the possibility of a bid cancellation) In the case where AS sends a bid to eBay and you win the auction, it's counted as a successful bid and you are charged a fee or free snipe... even if it was a manual bid that won the auction.

If you're manually going to snipe and dont want us to charge you delete the snipe before 3 minutes and we wont charge you. With 3 minutes left we lock it and our computers have already begun the process of distributing your snipe to our servers throughout california to place your snipes on the item for redundancy. At that point if you win, you'd be charged.
