Use a longer lead time on items ending on any hour, quarter hour or half hour.
That item ended 12 seconds after a quarter hour. We did place the snipe, which is why it says snipe placed. Unfortunately eBays capacity to accept connections to it's site and bids at those times isn't very good. We sent that snipe from at least 3 places. None of them made it in time or didnt make it all.
All I can suggest is to use a 45-60 second lead time for any snipe around those busy periods. I'm sure we even budged your snipe a few seconds earlier than you entered because it was one of those peaks and even that wasnt enough.
