Yesterday I put a $12.00 snipe bid in for an item on ebay. It was won by the guy who had the first bid of $4.25. No bid was made for me by auction sniper at all. Why not???
Depends. If your auction was scheduled to end between 19:15 PDT to 20:08 PDT eBay had a problem which made it difficult to access item descriptions or place bids. You can read about it at http://www2.ebay.com/aw/announce.shtml. If your snipe was supposed to take place at some other time, please let me have the item number and I'll take a look.
Yeah, I guess so. Bummer. Hey, you had no way of knowing and there was nothing you could do. All I can say is hang in there -- sooner or later everything comes around on eBay again.
Nobody ever said life, or eBay, had to be fair. So far as they're concerned, they said they were sorry and that's that. Not good customer relations, but eBay has grown so big that a few hundred or even a few thousand customers don't make much difference to them. At least when AS has a rare downtime they try to make up for it with free snipes.
