No bid shown in final list

I just used AS again. I have had both success and failures previously, but have always seen my bid in the final listing. Today its not there. I'm not that upset, because it wasn't high enough to beat the two other snipers on this auction, but I wonder what happened. Is it the fact that there WERE two other snipes, and eBay simply couldn't cope with so much late activity?

That circumstance could happen if, at the time it was submitted by AS, your bid was lower than one already in place. EBay would simply disregard your bid in that case. You wouldn't receive a notice of proxy outbid from AS because your bid was never high enough to have been outbid. As an example, if your AS bid was $9 and the bid on the item already was $10 then eBay wouldn't bother to do anything with your bid.
