Newby question about diffrenec

Hi,
I am very interested but before trying, I just want to know what is the real diffrenece between auctionsniper and Max bid given by eBay ?
it seems that max bid do exactly the same except the time of bid. But it also seems that ebay place all my bids at the right time

The advantage of placing an early proxy bid through ebay is that you can guarantee that the bid has been placed. Although AS has a great record of placing snipes, it’s not 100% (nothing is). The advantage of placing a snipe is that you are much more likely to get the item at a lower price. Bidding wars and nibblers, can increase the price substantially, and if you are the high bidder, you might still win the item, but at an increased price.
