Hi all,
i have a question - sorry if its already been covered.
I have an auction happening tomorrow and have set a snipe on it.
I'm worried though that it won't work, for whatever reason, and that i might just win if I make a normal bid with a high max anyway.
So, the question is - if i log in normally to ebay and make a bid with say 30 seconds to go, with a max. value just below that of my AS snipe, will the AS snipe still work, even though I'm already logged into e-bay?
My lead time is 12 secs by the way - how does that sound? (Bid finishes just after 6pm.)
Thanks!
Lemmy

Well, that depends. If your proxy bid is the high bid by an increment, then your snipe could be placed if it was 1 penny more. If not, you would have to snipe at the next increment. If your proxy bid isn't high, your snipe would have to be high enough to reach the next increment.

Also, if you proxy bid and win and if you have an AS snipe in place, even if the AS snipe doesn't appear on the bid history, AS will bill you (or use up a free snipe).

Thanks guys,
So basically my snipe bid has to be higher than the currently winning one by at least the increment amount? (unless I'm the person who's currently winning of course) And if it is and my max amount is highest, I win?

I'll let you know how it goes...
Lemmy

In a nutshell, yes, that is it! Big Grin
