Newbie questions

I guess everyone has a preference. I use 8 seconds, normally, but on Sunday between 5:30 and 8:30 PST, I add 10-15 to that. This is also true during the hour, quarter, and half. An another thing is to set your snipe at the max you want to bid. Either search is ok, however, I usually use Ebay because it seems to bring up more, but that is again personal choice. Good luck!

Thanks. I definately knew about the max bid from reading other posts. I had a wrong idea about how AS worked until reading the posts. When you mention the busy times being at the hour, quarter and half, that's everyday, right? Then, also, Sunday from 5:30 - 8:30 especially. Do I have it right?

Remember, PST. My friend just sniped and won something Sunday eve., I think it was 7:55, about, PST. She sniped it at 14 seconds and it went off at 17..she won. I'll bet I just confused you some more! LOL! As you can see, it is somewhat of a gamble, but you'll win more sniping than not!

Please bear with me. Why change my lead time if AS will change it during heavy times?

Well, they try to sample the traffic, but sometimes miss an upserge or maybe it is not quite enough. If your beginning snipe is too close, even the added will not be enough. Such as 5 seconds or such.
