Newbie Question- Sunday Eve. Lead Time

PLEASE HELP ME HERE!!! I am new to this and according to some messages on this board 7-8 seconds is a good lead time right? Except for: on the hour, quarter hour, half hour and 3/4 hour, which 15 seconds is a good lead time right? I read that Sunday evening I need a longer lead time- 15 seconds right? When does Sunday "Evening" begin is it reallly in the afternoon or later in the night? I am in the central time zone and I have an auction around 6:00 P.M. CST.

I am a newbee also, but I would guess that it would start about 4 PM EST and move West. Maybe Mrs M or Rick or esp. Sara would know more exactly.

The basic info you have seems to be right. Good luck. The biggest thing I've found is to be sure to bid the very highest you will go and then let the computers sort it out. If you miss one to someone who bids more..OK. At least you did not over spend for it. And, another will be along sooner or later.

Yes, I give an extra 15 seconds on Sunday ,late afternoon and evening. Please note, an EXTRA 15 sec. on top of the 8 sec. Shop's advise was sound!

Eight seconds is normal..add 15 seconds in busy times to the 8 seconds! Nothing is absolute, you know..it is an auction and you are always taking a chance.

So far 7 has been my lucky number.. (I think I just jinxed myself). I have yet to have a bid go unplaced except for being too low.. (oops, I did it again..) But I have yet to place a bid on any rush hour times that I know of..

I like 9 seconds in general. and for busy times under 20 seconds total. I timed how long it takes me to see a new posting and how long it takes to respond one time. anything over 20-25 may open a window for those manual snipers.
