Newbie question--does a snipe go out the window with buy it now?

Right.

Yup, you would lose it. Now.. whether you want to Buy it now yourself or not.

If there are a lot of those gizmos out there on ebay, you might want to just start a bid group folder and toss them into it with max bids lower than that buy it now price.

If that is the only gizmo available, and you really must buy it now or croak. Then go ahead and buy it now, by all means..

"Shop" and My Snipes

The way forward here is to place a bid at the minimum, thus 'removing' the Buy It Now option and then snipe your max with AS.

The risk here is that it will sell for higher than your max. In which case you lose so Buy it Now would have been the best option.

But, it may sell for less than the Buy It Now price, thus saving you money.

The decision, as they say, is yours!
