New Years Traditions

Hi Steve, Morning all.

No big party for me either. We may pop an astie or two, but basically a quiet evening at home, trying to avoid Time Square on TV. If it's 'nice' outside, we will go out to see what kind of fireworks the neighbors shoot off.

Thank you, Puppy! I took my husband to see old friends and old familar places. I think he enjoyed it and did seem to remember a lot...so, I enjoyed the rewards!

In case someone doesn't know how to post a picture to this forum, do the following:

I thought Lexie was speaking of a sitcom. Guess I forgot it didn't have to be from the US! Lol!

According to a TV news report, Australia had their New Year 24 minutes ago. Have a happy "news" year.

I don't know how "quiet" it'll be but my husband and I will be celebrating at home with our kids. We'll play cards or board games. I'm going to try to make some yummy snacks today as long as the children don't interrupt. (they're 8 and 5) I'm hoping I get Pirates of the Carribean from Netflix today so we can watch it after the kids go to bed.

Another year is coming to a close. I am amazed that I am again here to witness the new year. I can recall thinking that maybe I would not be alive to see 2000! Well, here I am, still learning, still teaching, still avidly enjoying life to the fullest.My needs are simple, but my wants are many.My first want is for peace in my husband's troubled mind. My second would be for the young to have the opportunity in their lives that I have had. I am so fortunate to have been raised by parents that taught us there were only limits set by yourself,in times when it was not fashionable.
