I place a snipe last night and lost.. I thought my max bid was good enough. when I went to the actual item, my bid didn't even get registered... am I missing something?

How about an auction # and your max amount?
Goto 'My Snipes' and select Choose Snipes: All / Choose Folder All Snipes.
What does it say when you click the 'confirmation' button next to your lost auction?

If you click the *NEW* tab up the top, then just chose *New Discussion*. Just make sure you are in the correct area (ie, Support or General), so somebody will answer your question/s ASAP.
