New account and number of snipes

I THINK you need to have the money in the account before the snipe goes through. If I am wrong, Sara or someone will surely correct me! just click on the words "update item info" at the top, left, just under the add snipes box and it will update it for you.

I didnt transfer any money into my account and the snipes went through no problems. In fact I thought AS would automatically debit my credit card - but it doesnt.

I beleive he is not registering a credit card, Lexie..at least that is the way I read it....just using a paypal transfer.

The first 3 snipes you win will use up your free snipes. Additional snipes must be paid in advance. You can give AS Paypal, but that can take 3 or 5 days to apply the payment since it's a manual process. I'd recommend giving AS your credit card number. I know it sounds scary giving them that info after giving them you ebay password, but "in for a penny - in for a pound". (It's safe).

What I did was register my credit card with Pay Pal and then I just use Pay Pal for all that stuff. So they are the only ones with it.

I won my first 3 free snipes within a week of signing up and won a 4th yesterday without giving AS any c.c. info or transferring Paypal into my account. So right now I owe AS 25¢. I haven't decided yet how I plan to handle my own account. I don't feel comfortable having my c.c. on file (even ebay doesn't have that info from me). But if Paypal takes a few days to get into my account I may miss out on a good auction!

I just transferred the minimum $5 from paypal to AS. This is the maximum AS will charge for an auction snipe. Since I am bidding on lower valued items my account balance will be good for a few snipes. Remember this is how this service stays in business. and a minimum of $5 on account is worth my time.

I think they will still place those snipes for you, you just can not place any new snipes after you have won three until you finalize your registration.
